Council for Older Adults plans 8th Annual Insurance Seminar for October 24th
If you have questions about Medicare and the Prescription Drug Coverage, then plan on attending the 8th Annual free Insurance Seminar hosted by the Council for Older Adults on Wednesday, October 24, from 8 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. at the Rutherford B. Hayes County Building, Room G-35, 140 N. Sandusky St. in Delaware. This independent insurance seminar is designed for county residents age 60 or older or for their friends and family members.
Representatives from OSHIIP (Ohio Senior Health Insurance Information Program) will present information on Medicare Insurance, Preventative Benefits, Part D, and the extra help program to pay for drug plan costs. The Delaware County Department of Job & Family Services will provide information on Medicare Premium Assistance Program. Other topics covered will include how to prevent & protect yourself from Medicare Fraud and understanding your Medicare rights.
Insurance Specialists from the Council for Older Adults will be available to provide attendees with a comparison report of available Part D drug plans. Information will also be presented on the Medicare Prescription Drug Plan open enrollment period beginning November 15. A question and answer period will be available at the seminar. A free continental breakfast will be served.
