The Board of Directors of the Council for Older Adults is uniquely organized to ensure that it remains both responsive and accountable to the citizens of Delaware County. The Council's Board of Directors appoints six of its own members, and the remaining members are appointed by the Delaware County Commissioners, the Township Trustees Association, the City of Powell, and the City of Delaware. The Board of Directors is responsible for policy development, financial oversight, and the overall direction of the Council for Older Adults. The board employs an Executive Director to supervise staff, implement policy and oversee the day-to-day operation of the organization.

Board meetings are open to the public. The Board of Directors meets no less than nine times per year on a schedule approved annually by the Board. Meetings are held at the office of the Council for Older Adults, located at the Center for Older Adults, 800 Cheshire Rd., Delaware, Ohio. Phone: (740) 363-6677 or (800) 994-2255. Those interested in volunteering to serve on the Board of Directors may submit an application.
