FAIR BOOTH VOLUNTEERS

Volunteers will help make fair attendees aware of the services of the Council for Older Adults.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Ability to get along with others.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Ability to greet and direct visitors.      
  • Ability to communicate effectively and verbally and to follow directions. 
  • Ability to convey to the public the services offered by the Council for Older Adults.
  • Willing to commit at least 2 hours during the week of the Delaware County Fair
 

DUTIES:
  • Attend volunteer orientation and other trainings relevant to the event as required by the Council for Older Adults.
  • Be knowledgeable of the purpose and services of the Council for Older Adults.
  • Record and distribute to the proper staff, any necessary information regarding the fair-goers questions about the services of the Council for Older Adults.
  • Assist fair attendees with door prize drawings or games conducted at the booth.
  • Comply with established policy and procedures of the Council for Older Adults

 

TRAINING REQUIREMENT:  Volunteer Mission, Vision and Values training
 

TIME FRAME: The fair takes place during the month of September and is open for 8 consecutive days. Booth hours are usually 9-9, but may extend 1-2 hours on particular days. Shifts are normally 2-3 hours.
