Volunteer Drivers Needed

Make a difference in a lunch hour

We are currently experiencing a critical shortage of temporary meal drivers. When you deliver meals to homebound seniors during your lunch hour you make a real difference in the lives of older adults who may not be able to prepare a hot, nutritious meal themselves. Your smile may be the only one they see all day.

If you have several hours to spare each week, consider making a difference by volunteering your time ....and your smile.

In 2009, the Senior Nutrition Program served more than 177,905 meals. This fantastic effort was made possible, by more than 250 volunteer drivers. Each winter, many of our drivers leave Ohio for warmer climates which creates a critical need to fill these vacancies. If you have some extra time this month or longer, two hours a day is all it takes to make a difference in so many lives. We reimburse our drivers mileage and provide free lunch.
